FAQs

  • The world wants to see you in you in your best colors! However, color analysis is limited to one guest maximum. This allows you and I to really connect without distraction. This allows us to focus and bear witness the intersection of your undertones, the drapes and natural light. We'll take as many pictures as you like along the way and feel free to share with the world once our session is complete.

  • Contrary to what you might read on the internet, your undertones are invisible to the naked eye. I need to see YOUR beautiful, natural skin to see the effect the drapes have on your complexion. Don't worry if you forget, we have makeup remover to take it off. If possible, please also avoid using sunless tanners at least two weeks prior your appointment. Don't worry if your skin is acting up, as my teacher told me, a pimple makes our job so much easier.

  • False. Having a tan (besides possibly increasing your risk for skin cancer) does not magically allow you to wear more colors. Melanin is not what makes colors suit us, it's our undertones which are deep in our skin. If you find you can only wear a color at a certain time of year, chances are, it's just not your color. This is where color analysis is wonderful as it can find a version of this color that does suit you and you can wear it freely without feeling you have to change your body.

  • NO! No colors should ever feel off limits for you because you are a beautiful, shining being. To quote my teacher, Liz Thoegreson, "no color could possibly make you look bad." What we do in color analysis is much like natural beauty, we are using light and color to capture your natural essence to see what colors light you up and show off that inner glow. I also feel strongly that as consumers we are given far too many options today and your seasonal palette is one filter you can place on your style journey to minimize regrettable purchases and to create a wardrobe that reflects your unique self.
